In August 2006 Wind power business unit (CSR Wind Power) was founded
In October 2006 the “project of converting system industrialization for megawatt level wind turbine” became a national high-tech industrialization demonstration project
In December 2006 cooperated with an European company and introduced the technology for 1.65MW doubly-fed wind turbine
In October 2007 the first WT1650 wind turbine was finished and combined to the grid in Hunan Yongzhou Jianghua Wind Farm in November

In April 2010 CSR Tianjin Wind Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. was founded and in the same year, the production base was constructed and went into operation
In July 2010 CSR Wind Power Production Base in Zhuzhou Liyu Industrial Park went into operation.
In December 2010 the first WT2500 coastal/inland wind turbine model machine was off the production line
In April 2011 the subject of “research on testing technology for wind turbine and key components” which is listed in National 863 Program passed the acceptance by New and High Technology Center Specialist Group of the Ministry of Science and Technology
In May 2011 WT2500 coastal/inland wind turbine was combined to the grid in Kulun of Inner Mongolia
In November 2011 CSR Wind Power Eryuan Wind Farm succeeded in the first batch debugging for WT1500 plateau wind turbine combined to the grid
In December 2011 CSR Wind Power plateau wind turbine project won “Science and Technology Award of Chinese Renewable Energy Society”
