CSR Wind Power has owned a strong technological R&D team and perfect technological reserve through years of precipitation. At present, CSR Wind Power has nearly 200 R&D personnel including 13 professor level senior engineers and nearly 100 senior designers; all the R&D personnel possess bachelor degree or above, of which, there are 11 with doctoral degree and more than 80 with master’s degree with reasonable collocation of major orientation and talent echelon. The R&D team, for the purpose of digesting to master knowledge and cultivating its own innovation ability, sticks to technological innovation and devotes itself to tackling key problems, and has found out a set of mature technological innovation mechanism and platform as well as obtained a series of scientific research achievements with independent intellectual property rights.

CSR Wind Power takes the market as the core to strengthen international cooperation and independent innovation ability for wind power technology, it has realized the strategic shift from “made by CSR Wind Power” to “created by CSR Wind Power”. In order to realize the promotion of core competitiveness, CSR Wind Power conducts technological R&D based on “advanced, mature, applicable and reliable” principles, organizes and stimulates the R&D personnel in various departments to tackle key problems assiduously for the localization work of products and technologies; it has obtained notable achievements in terms of the localization of a series of key technologies and technological innovation and formed the following core technologies.

To maintain the leading position of wind power converting technology domestically

As a national high-tech industrialization demonstration base for megawatt level wind power converter, the converter project of CSR Wind Power has gained the support of national special fund, the converters it produces featuring advanced design, perfect development and testing means, elaborate manufacturing capability and overall quality process control can completely meet the requirements of the life cycle of wind turbine for the converter. The converter’s main loop design technology, vector control technology, IGBT driving technology, IGBT parallel technology, laminated busbar technology, cooling technology and simulation technology are more mature than other manufacturers at home, making the converter able to respond to the wind turbine rapidly and adapt such special requirements as power grid fluctuation, sandy wind, temperature and altitude.

Fully mastering the design technology for electrical control system and break foreign blockade on technology thoroughly;

Mastering the development technology for complete machine control strategy;

Has developing CSR-TICS complete machine control system independently;

Has developing CSR-PDCS variable-pitch driving control system independently;
